Ho’oponopono is a wonderful Hawaiian practice that I have used over and over since I learned it in South Africa 7 years ago. I have used it for my own self when I’ve been troubled about something, used it with my relationships, and with family and friends in mind when things need healing or soothing. It always brings peace of mind when I stick with it till the light comes on. It’s taught me that my peace is within, and has really nothing to do with what’s going on outside.
The Four Steps
Step 1: Repentance — I’M SORRY
You are responsible for everything in your mind, even if it seems to be out there. Once you realize that, it’s very natural to feel sorry. Take responsibility for your part in whatever situation is troubling you.
Step 2: Ask Forgiveness — PLEASE FORGIVE ME
Don’t worry about who you’re asking. Just ask. Say it over and over. Mean it. Feel it. Let it flow.
Step 3: Gratitude — THANK YOU
Say thank you. To your body, to God, to the air you breathe, to the person or situation that has caused this moment of healing. Thank you for the opportunity to clear this.
Step 4: Love — I LOVE YOU
Say I love you. To yourself, to the situation, to the person. Love is the most powerful healing force there is. Let it flow freely.
